The rules of the road for using Trend Snap

By accessing or using Trend Snap (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These terms are binding for all visitors, regardless of whether you have an account.

1. The Service

Trend Snap aggregates publicly available links and metadata from third-party platforms (Hacker News, GitHub, YouTube, and similar developer-focused sources) and ranks them using an editorial scoring system. The Service is provided free of charge and supported by advertising. Features, ranking algorithms, and the set of supported sources may change at any time without notice.

2. Acceptable use

By using the Service, you agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically harvest data from the site at a volume that could degrade service for other users.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disable, or interfere with the operation of the Service or its security features.
• Use automated systems to manipulate ranking, click on advertisements, or otherwise generate fraudulent engagement.
• Use the Service to distribute malware, illegal content, or content that violates a third party's rights.

3. Third-party content

The Service displays headlines, summaries, and links to content owned by third parties. Each card identifies its source and links back to the original publication. We do not claim ownership of third-party content and we do not endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for the accuracy of opinions expressed in linked sources.

If you are a rights-holder and believe content surfaced on Trend Snap infringes your rights, please contact us with the URL, the nature of the claim, and supporting information; we will review takedown requests promptly.

4. Editorial content (summaries, ranking)

AI-generated summaries, “why it's trending” notes, ranking scores, and the topic intros displayed on each feed are original works created by Trend Snap. You may share screenshots and excerpts with attribution, but you may not republish our editorial content in bulk or use it to train competing models without written permission.

5. Advertising

The Service displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. We do not control the specific ads shown to a given user; ad selection is automated by Google based on its policies, your prior browsing, and our content. See our Privacy Policy for details on advertising cookies and how to opt out.

6. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Trend Snap does not guarantee that ranking is comprehensive, that summaries are free of errors, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trend Snap and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

We may revise these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the latest revision took effect. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
